The club's second British Team Captain. Anna-Liese represented her country on many occasions, including the World Championships, European Championships and the World Student Games. Pictured here on Beam where she became British Champion, she shows the extension and amplitude that made her one of the outstanding gymnasts of her generation. In 1991, Anna-Liese became Junior British Champion in a closely fought battle with Zita Lusack from Heathrow. Her last major World event, was the World Student Games in Sicily in 1997. She finished her career with a faultless performance at this event, helping the British Women to move into 8th position, the highest placing that G.B. has ever achieved in this competition. In the summer of 1999, Anna-Liese graduated from Birmingham University with an Honours degree in Sports Science. |
